Croton is one of the most colorful plants. Originally from Malaysia and the East Indies, it was brought to Europe in the first half of the 19th century. Croton is a plant with evergreen leaves, which are its main ornament. They delight with a variety of shapes. They can be long, short, narrow, lobed, spirally twisted, leathery and shiny, with smooth or wavy edges.

A common feature of all croton varieties is the color of the leaves, which have a distinct, usually yellowish color along the nerves and colored spots between them. In older plants, the leaves have a yellowish, reddish or pinkish tint. The prominent innervation is orange or red in color.

Artificial croton is a very decorative plant, it will enliven any interior where it is placed.
